Writing rules

Papers can be presented in Turkish or English at the conference. However, the abstract should be written in the language in which the paper will be presented.

Abstract Writing Rules

  • Care should be taken that the abstract section of the paper should not exceed 300 words.
  • Turkish and English keywords of abstract and full-text papers should not exceed 5 words.
  • The abstract part of the paper should be written in two different languages, Turkish and English. It should be noted that each abstract should not exceed 300 words.

Full Text Paper Writing Rules

  • The text of the paper should be prepared in docx format in MS Office Word 2010 and higher versions.
  • It should be noted that the full text, including the bibliography, should not exceed 10 pages.
  • The title of the paper should be written in 12 font size, Times New Roman, capital letters and centered.
  • The title, name and surname of the author(s) should be stated in the abstract and in the full-text paper, below the title of the article, in Times New Roman with 9 font size. The contact information of the author (place of duty and e-mail address) should be placed under the cut line reserved for footnotes on the same page.
  • Page layout; Left: 3 cm, Right: 3 cm, Top: 2 cm and Bottom: 2 cm. Footer/header function tabs and page numbering system of Word program should not be used in the papers.
  • Papers should be written in 12 font size and “Times New Roman” character with a single line spacing.
  • In the paragraphs, the starting indent should be 1.5 cm, and 6 pt space should be left before and after the paragraph. Care should be taken not to leave blank lines between paragraphs and before/after headings, and the text should be written in single line spacing.
  • Main title and sub-titles 1., 1.1., 1.1.1., 1.1.2., 1.1.2.1. should be numbered in decimal form. All letters of the main headings should be capitalized, and only the initials of the subheadings should be capitalized. No spaces should be left before and after the headings.
  • Tables, figures, charts, etc. The titles of the drawings will be centered on the upper part of the relevant drawing, and the references will be given as 9 points left aligned to the lower part of the related drawing. Illustrations should be set so that they do not exceed the page margins. The text and figures in the tables and graphics should be written in “Times New Roman” character and 9 points. If necessary, smaller fonts may be preferred in the tables.
  • References should be made in the text using the conjunction method. Explanatory notes should be expressed in footnotes (9 points) at the bottom of the page. References in the text should be made as the surname of the author(s), year of the source and page number. (Yellow, 2018: 40). In works with more than two authors et al. abbreviation should be used. Footnote method should never be used in citations. However, if the author of the cited source is not known, the institution and access year of the website should be written in parentheses. (CBRT, 2022: 12). If the citation is taken from a website and the author of the citation is included, the reference is made similar to the periodicals. If no date is given for the source downloaded from the internet, the date of access to the relevant file is accepted as the year of the source.
  • All kinds of sources used in the research should be included in the bibliography section. The sources used should be listed alphabetically according to the surname of the author, regardless of the type (thesis, book, article, report, etc.). In the works of the same author, they should be placed in the bibliography, starting with the most recent one. If more than one work of an author published in the same year is used, the works should be shown with letters a, b, c, next to the year. Ex: Yellow (2012a), Yellow (2012b).
